We Are Closed

Dear patients

As we come to the end of another busy year everyone at Park Medical Group would like to thank you for your continued support and kindness.

Thank you for your patience with our computer system switchover

Last month, we moved to a new clinical system,ย SystmOne. We know that the transition created some disruption, and we are grateful for your patience and understanding during the changeover. The new system is already helping us work more efficiently and allows improved communication with other local practices and many local services including the community nurses and out of hours services.ย

Exciting improvements coming in the New Year

We are pleased to share that our Fawdon branch will be undergoing a refurbishment project in 2026. This will include the creation ofย three new consulting rooms, as well as improvements to several of our existing rooms. These upgrades will help us expand clinical capacity and improve the environment for both patients and staff.

Please see below our opening times over the festive period. For urgent medical help when we are closed, please contactย NHS 111ย orย 999 in an emergency.

From all of us at Park Medical Group, we wish you a peaceful, healthy, and happy Christmas, and a wonderful New Year.

Warm regards,
Park Medical Group

Order Prescriptions Early

The quickest and easiest way to request a repeat prescription is with the NHS App.

At normal times, we ask you to allowย at least three full working daysย from request to collection. Over the Christmas period, please order as early as possible.

You can request a prescription in the NHS App at any time โ€“ even when we are closed. It only takes a few taps:

  1. Open the NHS App and make sure you are logged in.
  2. Tapย โ€˜Repeat Prescriptionsโ€™ย on the home Check or change your nominated pharmacy if needed.
  3. Tapย โ€˜Continueโ€™.
  4. Select the medicines you want to request.
  5. Tapย โ€˜Continueโ€™ย again.
  6. Check the details and tapย โ€˜Request prescriptionโ€™.

It’s quick and easy โ€“ ordering prescriptions through the app saves you time and helps us too, so please use it if you can.

Accessing the NHS App on a Computer

You can also use NHS App services from aย desktop or laptop browser.

This is a great option if:

  • You donโ€™t have a smartphone, or
