Free walk-in chest X-rays for people over 40 with ongoing chest symptoms
If you are aged over 40 and have had chest symptoms for more than three weeks, you may be able to get a free chest X-ray without seeing a GP first.
Park Medical Group is taking part in a pilot project with Newcastle Hospitals. The project offers a walk-in chest X-ray service that patients can refer themselves to.

Why get checked?
Chest symptoms can have many causes. Most are not cancer. However, it is important to get symptoms checked if they do not improve.
This pilot project aims to make it quicker and easier for people to access a chest X-ray. This can help find problems earlier and allow treatment to start sooner if needed.
If you are over 40 and have had chest symptoms for more than three weeks, please consider using this walk-in service.
