Repeat Prescription
Please allow 2-3 working days for us to process prescription requests before you collect them.
You can also nominate a pharmacy to have your prescription sent to directly.
The NHS App
The quickest and easiest way to request a repeat prescription is through the NHS App.
Available for all smartphones, the free NHS app lets you order a repeat prescription in a few easy steps at any time, with no need to call the practice.
You can also use the NHS App to book appointments, get advice, views your records and more.
If someone is ordering prescriptions on your behalf, they too can use the NHS App to do so. Visit https://www.nhs.uk/nhs-app/nhs-app-help-and-support/linked-profiles-in-the-nhs-app/ for a guide on how to switch accounts using the NHS App.
Through our website
If you have signed up to use our online service through EMIS, then you can also send a request that way.
As well as medication details and issue dates, you can also nominate a pharmacy to collect your prescription. This can be a more convenient option than coming to the practice.
If you have not yet signed up for our online services, please speak to the Reception team to get access.
By Telephone – available until 4th September 2023
You can request a prescription by calling 0191 285 1763 during our normal prescription line opening hours (11.30 – 12.30). Please be aware that our phone lines may be busy at certain times – especially early in the morning. The Practice prescription ordering line will close from 4th September 2023.
In-Person
Visit us at both Fawdon and Kingston Park surgeries and speak to the Reception Team. Alternatively we have dedicated prescription post boxes at either site.
